THE FAKING TRAINS

Damian Catera and Ben Chadabe will perform on June 6, 2003 at the Free 103 Gallery in Williamsburg , Brooklyn. Showtime is 9pm.
Catera and Chadabe make improvised music with guitar, laptop and percussion. In their performances, Catera samples an algorithmically alters Chadabe's percussion sounds with software written in the MAX/MSP programming environment. The end product is a textured unpredictable sound ...at times intense and at times delicate...a unique dialectic of order and chaos.

Starting off the evening will be The Faking Trains. Hailing from Albany, NY, the Trains will be making their Brooklyn debut. Energy, harmony, dissonance, composition and improvisation, with a little righteous anger and a lot of irony -- that's the formula faking trains uses in its music and its message. The trio spins wit, commentary and just plain fun into unique tunes that scale heights and plumb depths with a sense of the bizarre. Google 'faking trains'
